As of Monday, 17 January 2022, Grove Mount Residential Home is accepting visitors.
We do ask that you call and schedule a visit as well as do an lateral flow test the day off your visit before entering the building.

Temporarily Closed to Visitors
Following the Manx Care press release on Thursday, 30 December 2021, Grove Mount Residential Home has also made the decision to temporarily close to visitors for the safety of our residents and staff.
We will continue to monitor the situation and we thank you for your understanding at this time.

The residents and staff enjoyed a small get together to celebrate the Holidays tonight and we wanted to take a moment to wish each and everyone of you a very Happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

Visitation Change - Phase 2
Due to the announcement from the government on Sunday, 28 November 2021 in regard to the Omicron variant, Grove Mount Residential Home has entered back into Phase 2 of our Visitation Policy for the safety of our residents and staff.
Please find our information on our Visitation Policy below. We thank you for your understanding during this time.Grove Mount Residential Home Visitation Policy - Phase 2
At this time, it is still not safe to have visitors coming and going freely; therefore, visits will need to be scheduled to ensure the safety of all residents and staff. Masks must be worn at all times within Grove Mount Residential Home.
The following will be needed for the visit to take place:
No more than TWO visitors a visit
Visit must be scheduled via telephone ahead of time
Lateral Flow Test kits are available and must be done before the visitations
If Positive result – you will NOT be allowed to visit the Home
If Negative result – you will be allowed to visit ensuring the following are met
On arrival your visitor registration form will be collected which is available at the entrance as well as on our website. This form must be completed prior to each visit.
We ask that you allow us to do a temperature check. For the safety of residents and staff, temperatures must be below 37.8
Hand hygiene procedures must be followed, and you will be supplied with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which must be used at all times
Social distancing must be maintained at all time while visiting. We appreciate that our loved ones wish to be close but please try to ensure that you keep your social distance to keep them as well as other residents and staff safe.
We appreciate that these times have been difficult for everyone and that many wish to visit freely with their loved ones; however, at this time there are still many risks in doing so. Please understand that for the safety of our residents, your loved ones, and our staff, we ask that you adhere to the listed above.
Grove Mount Residential Home will continually assess and review the situation and information from Public Health and Infection Control to make progress in easing restrictions as swiftly and safely as possible. We will continue to keep you updated on any changes as we make them.

Visitation Phase 3
Grove Mount Residential Home Visitation Policy - Phase 3
As a response to COVID-19 Coronavirus community cases, Grove Mount Residential Home regularly reviews decisions towards visitations, taking into account updated information and relevant guidance from Manx Care. We are now in a position to move to the third phase of our return to our ‘new normal’ services within Grove Mount Residential Home.
At this time, it is still not safe to have visitors coming and going freely; therefore, we have Lateral Flow Test available if any visitors wish to do prior to visit to ensure the safety of the residents and staff. Face coverings must be worn at all times within Grove Mount Residential Home.
The following will be needed for the visit to take place:

Ramsey In Bloom 2021
We are very proud to share the news that Grove Mount Residential Home placed first in the Public Building section of 🌷🌱 Ramsey in Bloom 🌱🌷 this year!
We'd like to take a moment and thank all our staff and residents for their hard work in our garden and we look forward to more gardening adventures next year! 🌱🌷

We are now in a position to move to the first phase of our return to our ‘new normal’ services within Grove Mount Residential Home.
At this time, it is still not safe to have visitors coming and going freely; therefore, visits will be scheduled and visitors will be designated where the visit will take place to ensure the safety of all residents and staff. Masks must be worn at all times within Grove Mount Residential Home.
The following will be needed for the visit to take place:
- Only ONE visitor a visit, children will not be able to visit at this time
- Visit must be scheduled via telephone ahead of time
- Lateral Flow Test kits are available and must be done before the visitations
- If Positive result – you will NOT be allowed to visit the Home
- If Negative result – you will be allowed to visit ensuring the following are met
- On arrival your visitor registration form will be collected which is available at the entrance as well as on our website. This form must be completed prior to each visit.

Temerarily Closed to Indoor Visits
Due to the increase in positive cases
in the community at this time Grove Mount Residential Home has decided to
temporarily close to indoor visits. We will be reassessing the situation
regularly and hope to commence indoor visits as soon as possible.
Outdoor visits in the garden can be
arranged via appointment on suitable weather days. Virtual visits can also be
arranged via appointments as well if this is better suited.
We apologise for any inconvenience that
this may cause and thank you all for your cooperation at this time.

End of Circuit Break Lockdown on Monday, 19 April 2021
After yesterday's announcemnet from the government we are happy to announce that we will reopen to the public on Monday, 19 April 2021. This means that visitations will be able to recommence on Monday. All visitors will still be required to fill out a visitor form and have their temperature recorded as we did prior to this lockdown.

Vaccinations
We had our second visit from the Vaccination Team for those residents who could not consent today.
We'd like to give a big shout out and thank you to everyone who helped with making this possible.

Keeping in touch with loved ones during Lockdown
We understand that at this time family and friends want to check in with their loved ones. Grove Mount Residential Home has video chatting available for those who wish to use it.
Our current apps available are WhatsApp and Zoom

Some other forms of keeping in touch:
- Phone Calls - We have phones available if you wish to call to speak with your loved one or just want to check in and see how they are doing.
- Letters/Cards - Post is collected and distributed daily and staff are more than happy to assist your loved ones if they require assistance with reading or writing.
- Emails - We can assist with large print email prints for your loved ones to read.

Circuit Break Lockdown 3
Grove Mount Residential Home has gone back into Lockdown and is not allowing visitors or any unauthorized persons into the Home at this time.
Isle of Man's Circuit Break Lockdown begins one minute after midnight on Wednesday, 3rd March 2021.

Grove Mount Residential Home will remain closed to the public during this Lockdown for the safety of our residents and staff. We thank you all for your understanding at this time.

Business as Usual
We thank you all for your understanding as we temporarily closed to visitors during the weekend for the safety of our residents.
We are happy to announce that we are now OPEN to visitors again.
